چکیده
The depletion of resources and increase in demand for fossil fuel raise concerns as it is natural non-renewable. Therefore, will cause limitation on its availability continuous reduction. This issue has led to the search more economic, sustainable, environmentally friendly alternatives which biodiesel. major drawback that reduces possibility biodiesel commercialization high cost oil feedstock covers 75% total production cost. waste cooking used transesterification primary option lower production. Biodiesel can be prepared using catalyst through reaction. In this research, focus utilization chicken quail eggshell synthesize highly active Calcium Oxide (CaO)-based heterogenous with montmorillonite clay catalyze efficient conversion formation CaO/montmorillonite was confirmed based outputs from X-ray diffraction (XRD) Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). physio-chemically characteristics catalysts exhibited a BET surface area ranging 9.2-9.5 m 2 /g presence around 87% elemental calcium constituent XRF characterization. addition this, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis determine conventional microwave heating method revealed maximum yield 98%. optimum obtained at reaction temperature, molar ratio methanol, amount 60 ºC, h, 1:12, 2.5 wt.% 5 both eggshells, respectively.

Enzymatic Alholysis For Biodiesel Production From Waste Cooking Oil
Huge efforts have been carried out in recent years in order to develop an alternative fuel from renewable resources, such as biodiesel fuel. Therefore, the use of cooking oil as raw material is a very interesting alternative for the production of biodiesel. In this work, waste frying oil was used as raw material for enzymatic biodiesel production. Moreover, this study analyzes the influence of ...
متن کاملWaste Cooking Oil as an Alternate Feedstock for Biodiesel Production
As crude oil price reach a new high, the need for developing alternate fuels has become acute. Alternate fuels should be economically attractive in order to compete with currently used fossil fuels. In this work, biodiesel (ethyl ester) was prepared from waste cooking oil collected from a local restaurant in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Ethyl alcohol with sodium hydroxide as a catalyst was use...
متن کاملTransesterification of Waste Cooking Oil for Biodiesel Production Using Modified Clinoptilolite Zeolite as a Heterogeneous Catalyst
Reduction of fossil fuels sources, increasing of pollution gases emission, and global warming effects increase the demand of renewable fuels. One of the main candidates of alternative fuels is biodiesel. Biodiesel limits greenhouse gas effects due to the closed CO2 cycle. Biodiesel has more biodegradability, lower combustion emissions such as CO, SOx, HC, PM and lower toxicity than petro diesel...
متن کاملEfficient Synthesis of Biodiesel From Waste Cooking Oil Catalysed by Al2O3 Impregnated with NaOH
Due to the high price of virgin vegetable oils and the drawbacks of the homogeneous catalytic transesterification, in this work an economically profitable alternative process was proposed for biodiesel synthesis in which transesterification of the low-cost waste cooking oil (WCO) with methanol in a heterogeneous system was done. Alumina impregnated with sodium hydroxide was utilized as a solid ...
متن کاملA Two-step Catalytic Production of Biodiesel from Waste Cooking Oil
Waste cooking oil (WCO) was used as a potential feedstock for biodiesel production. High levels of free fatty acids (9.85% w/w) in WCO made it an undesirable substrate for direct transesterification reaction. To solve this issue, a two-step process was implemented in this research. Firstly, esterification reaction was performed in presence of sulfuric acid as a common acid catalyst to reduce th...
